Derry City Football Club play in the league of Ireland premier division. Brandywell Stadium is their home ground. The Candy-stripes is their nickname which comes from the red and white striped shirts which is Derry City Football Club’s first colours.
Initially the club played in the Irish League when it was founded in 1928.
